Illustrator Wendy Dyer of Weaverville creates incredibly lifelike illustrations of memorable moments for newlyweds. Couples commission the artist to capture their engagements, wedding day memories, and more. For example, a popular pick of Dyer’s is a sketch of the wedding day florals, which creates a striking alternative to preserved or dried bouquets that can be displayed throughout the home. Although many of Dyer’s subjects are beloved furry friends, she has an extensive wedding portfolio that adds an extra option for preserving wedding memories.
Dyer has been surrounded by art her entire life. She first began drawing while growing up on a houseboat her father built on San Juan Island in Washington state and started her custom art business in 2015. “My mom is an illustrator and my dad is a sculptor and musician. I have always been into art and started concentrating on it around thirteen. My art is photorealism, mainly done in colored pencil but I am also trained in watercolor and acrylic painting,” she explains.
