Just What the Doctor Ordered - The Schoenfelds’ modern mountain home, designed by PLATT Architects, features timber framing and ample hardwoods throughout and an earthy stone and cedar-shake exterior. They dubbed it Three Point Lodge, a double entendre that speaks to the three gables across the front as well as the three-point line on the indoor basketball court.

Game Time - Measuring 84 x 50 feet with 20-foot ceilings, the half basketball court is easily the home’s most unique feature, though it’s completely imperceptible from the outside. That’s because it sits one floor into the ground and underneath a terrace that traces the arc of the three-point line. The game room, finished by Sport Court Carolina, doubles as a pickleball court, as evidenced by the white lines on the floor.
Club Level - Basketball or pickleball spectators can watch all the action from a barstool perch overlooking the court. The bar itself, along with some of the home’s other shelving, came from a tree on the property that had to be removed for construction.
Rustic Luxe - In the great room, arched ceiling trusses against a light-stained pine vaulted ceiling lend dramatic effect that rivals the inviting fireplace and views out the oversized window. The kitchen, which features ample custom cabinetry, a large polished granite-top island, and leathered granite countertops elsewhere, is an attractive space for entertaining.
Wine & Dine - A custom-built bar and wine shelving acts as a semi partition between the living and dining rooms. Exposed rough-hewn cedar beams in the dining room continue the rustic lodge aesthetic.
Slumber Party Perfect - The four-bed bunk room is ideal for rambunctious kids. Unconventionally, steps lead up and down to reach the upper and lower beds.

Easy Breezy - A favorite space in the home, the screened porch is an oasis, complete with a fireplace for cool nights and a built-in grill for outdoor entertaining. Accordion doors can tuck away neatly, creating a seamless transition between indoors and out.
