Now in its 10th year, the North Carolina Arboretum’s open-air, walk-through light show is a sight to behold, since there are more than one million lights strung throughout the grounds, not to mention a 50-foot-tall lighted Christmas tree. Children (and kids at heart) can enjoy the Polar Express-themed railroad and Story Corner, an animatronic walk-through experience. Worried about the chilly weather? The Arboretum has you covered.
