Twisting modern indie, rock, and pop songs into jazz and ragtime anthems, Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox seems to have been constantly at work ever since they first went viral on YouTube in 2011. Covering the likes of Lady Gaga, The Strokes, Katy Perry, and the White Stripes, but swapping the guitars, synths, and drum machines for pianos, saxophones, and trumpets, making modern classics like Outkast’s “Hey Ya!” sound even more timeless. With a rotating cast of vocalists and musicians, it’s always a different show and a unique experience whether you see them in Australia, Ireland, Greece, or right here in North Carolina.
