Proper's Peach Cobbler
INGREDIENTS: 
4 cups peaches, sliced, fresh or frozen (thawed) 2 Tbs. + 1 ½ cups sugar 4 Tbs. butter, melted 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 Tbs. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 cup milk
DIRECTIONS: 
Preheat oven to 400°F. Sprinkle two tablespoons of sugar over peaches, and allow to sit. Pour butter into bottom of 8"x8" baking dish to coat pan. Combine dry ingredients in bowl, whisk well, and add milk. Stir until just blended. Spoon batter into baking dish and top with peaches. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
