Located in the idyllic, far west corner of WNC, Murphy sits on the confluence of the Hiwassee and Valley rivers. Visit the first Friday of each month through November for the Art Walks, when the town is abuzz with activity. While you’re there, check out these hot spots.
EAT The Daily Grind & Wine on Valley River Avenue attracts a crowd morning, noon, and night for fresh brews and light bites. Come sundown, barflies gather for pints of beer and glasses of wine. There’s a corn hole tournament every Tuesday starting at 5:30 p.m. and live music on Wednesdays. Bottles of wine and beer are for sale in the back of the store.
