For some sweet family fun, buzz over to this annual bee-happy event. Area beekeepers, artisans, and educators will be on hand, along with volunteers from the Center for Honeybee Research, to celebrate beekeeping, honey, and all things pollinators with live music, food trucks, kids’ activities, and cool brews. Peruse vendors showcasing honey-themed artisan goods and pollinator-focused crafts, then sample and purchase local and international honey. The most buzz-worthy experience promises to be the live finals of the International Black Jar Honey Competition, in which judges conduct blind taste tests to determine the world’s best liquid gold. Festivalgoers are also encouraged to cast their own votes for the People’s Choice Honey Award recognizing the best local honey.
