What better way to honor the philanthropic ideals of George Washington Vanderbilt II than with a charitable run through his iconic Biltmore Estate? For 26 years, this bucket-list race has served as the biggest fundraiser for the Asheville Kiwanis Club, which works to aid children and those in need. Choose from the 5k or 15k, the longer of which passes directly in front of the Châteauesque Biltmore House. Both USATF-certified courses begin and end at the estate’s Antler Hill Village. Runners and walkers are welcome to stay and enjoy the village and Biltmore Winery until 1 p.m. or upgrade for a longer visit to the house and gardens.
