The Brushy Mountains, a 45-mile offshoot of the Blue Ridge near the Yadkin Valley, experiences unique isothermal weather conditions, making it a rare gem for fruit farmers. Although more than 40 farmers used to grow peaches in the area, only a handful still remain.
