Appalachian State University welcomes the world’s largest adventure film tour, a globetrotting showcase of daring mountain experiences. Created by the Canadian Banff Centre, the festival began in 1976 as a way to, “promote understanding and appreciation of the world’s mountain places by creating opportunities for people to share and find inspiration in mountain experiences, ideas, and visions.” Each night presents a uniquely curated lineup from the tour’s 37 different films from around the world.
