Mars Hill promises bang for your buck with two festivals in the small town on the same day. The Bascom Lamar Lunsford Folk Festival has staged performances from renowned musicians since 1967, like this year’s lineup of fiddler Rhiannon Ramsey, and storyteller and clawhammer banjo player Sheila Kay Adams. The Madison Heritage Arts Festival hosts over 60 regional artisans and vendors specializing in a variety of folk arts. www.mhu.edu
