With help from family, Harvest Farm owner Cassandra Bare grows 40 varieties of pumpkins and invites visitors out each fall for one of the region’s largest u-pick experiences.
An outing to a pumpkin farm is a quintessential fall experience that all ages will enjoy. And the ability to choose and cut your favorite gourd straight from the vine presents an even greater reward for busy little bodies.

In addition to an eight-acre u-pick patch, the farm also grows and sells pre-cut pumpkins.
Choose from 40 varieties of mini and heirloom pumpkins, gourds, and traditional jack-o’-lantern pumpkins.

Nature Wins - Hinton is not a fan of faux anything. She understands it’s sometimes easier to buy a faux pumpkin that you can reuse every year, but, she says, if you really want to make an impression, go with fresh pumpkins, squash, or greenery. An easy tip for a high-quality look is to place fresh herbs such as rosemary on your guest’s plate or tie it up in their napkin. It not only looks beautiful, but the fragrance is divine.
