Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show

The Saddlebred Division of this three-part charity horse show series highlights American saddlebred horses and their smaller counterparts, Hackney ponies. While equines take center stage at this show and during hunter/jumper events in July and August, all support education and area nonprofits that work to preserve horse sports in the High Country. Expect glitz—the fine harness category, for instance, includes harnesses and carriages that can be worth as much as a house. » L.M.
