24 bacon slices
2 cups sugar
Preheat oven to 300°F. Pour sugar into a loaf pan that will accommodate the bacon slices without much bending. Place a mesh cooling rack over a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Spray rack with nonstick spray. Press one side of each bacon strip into sugar. Lay strips sugar side up on the mesh rack. Cook in oven until sugar is caramelized and bacon is cooked, about seven minutes. Watch carefully, the bacon can burn easily. Remove immediately from rack and allow to cool on parchment paper coated with nonstick spray. Once the batch is cool and crisp, stack bacon strips like Lincoln Logs on a plate and serve.
