Modeled after the iconic Bonnaroo music festival, Barnaroo takes place across three days and 38 acres of idyllic farmland just north of Asheville. With its own brand of local DIY flair, the jubilee serves up regional artists such as Tall, Tall Trees, Big Daddy Love, and Natural Born Leaders in addition to a farm-to-table food truck, beer, camping, and dancing. A percentage of proceeds benefits Asheville Music School; students from AMS will perform on Sunday. »Franny’s Farm, 22 Franny’s Farm Rd.; Friday, 5-11 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m.-11 p.m., Sunday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.; $25 Friday, $45 Saturday, $10 Sunday, $65 weekend with camping; (828) 708-5587; www.ashevillebarnaroo.com
