Power of the Purse

May 24, 2016   Guests gathered at the Crowne Plaza Resort in Asheville for the Community Foundation of WNC’s 12th annual luncheon to celebrate and inspire women’s philanthropy. Dr. Mae Jemison was the featured speaker. The Women for Women giving circle announced $254,000 in grants to nonprofits and disadvantaged women. Proceeds benefitted The Women’s Fund, which supports the unmet needs of women and girls across the region.
