May 20, 2014 Held at the Asheville Crowne Plaza, the Community Foundation of WNC’s celebration of women’s philanthropy attracted more than 1,000 attendees, and featured Senator Olympia Snowe and former White House Press Secretary Dee Dee Meyers in a conversation moderated by Warren Wilson President Steve Sonick. More than $100,000 was raised for the Women’s Fund, and the Women for Women giving circle announced $210,000 in grants to area nonprofits serving women.
