The Ashe County Arts Council will honor Dr. King with a day of tributes, speeches, and music, highlighting his teachings of peace, unity, and equality. Special guest and music-maker Crys Matthews will serve as the featured performer, bringing Dr. King’s words to life; Matthews is an impressive lyricist born and raised in North Carolina, which has inspired her passion for music.
