The Space Within, ceramic and mixed media, 34" x 12" x 8"

Organic forms, geometric shapes, and bold colors characterize Mary-Ann Prack’s abstract expressionist, figurative sculptures. “I’ve always been interested in the human figure—the emotion, movement, all aspects of it,” she says. Prack’s career in ceramic sculpture began 30 years ago. The inspiration for her work unwaveringly stems from an intuitive place of expression. “I have no idea what a piece is going to be when I start; It just evolves.” See her work in The Haen Gallery in Asheville or by appointment at her studio in Jefferson. www.prackart.com
