Duane and Tricia Crowley
The team worked together to create what’s called a “living roof,” a garden bed that rests on top of the home, for a truly integrated feel.
Duane and Tricia Crowley’s lakeside home serves as a welcome respite from busy city life and a place where Tricia can be creative in the studio. It flows seamlessy into the outdoors for an organic feel.
The dining room’s fabric dining chairs were selected to pair with the blue tile backsplash in the kitchen. The open window concept allows the lake view to peer into the dining space. The walnut dining table is made-to-order from Bricker & Beam, and features unique wishbone-shaped legs.
Even though it’s not facing the water, the view from this hallway window seat is stunning. It gazes onto the green roof and dahlia garden.
The master bedroom’s fireplace is surrounded with Carrerra gold marble for a luxurious finish.
The primary bathroom features an ombre wall covering. The tonal nature is reflective of the lake, creating a serene, spa-like space.
The bunk room has a more youthful color palette, although it still follows the home’s blue and green color scheme.
The home office features neutral pieces that tie the decor together.
Both the downstairs and upper powder rooms feature Phillip Jeffries wallpaper and vintage rugs from Togar.
Tricia’s in-home studio is filled with natural light thanks to the extra-tall windows and high ceilings.
Tricia loves color, and even her more neutral pieces still have pops of blues and greens, which are incorporated throughout the home.
The large window walls are on full display from the back of the home, which overlooks Lake Cardinal, a private lake upstream from Lake Toxaway.
