A celebration of indulgence, this year’s festivities take place in Asheville’s South Slope borough. After the parade of colorful floats and lively entertainment from Asheville Second Line, the official Mardi Gras marching band, there are afterparties at Bear’s Smokehouse, Banks Avenue Bar, and the Antidote Cocktail Lounge.
