One of Asheville’s most beloved annual events, the Asheville Greek Festival turns Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church into a small outpost of Greece for two days, with an indoor market featuring Grecian goods, music and dancing, and the highlight—homemade Greek dishes like moussaka, spanakopita, and baklava made by local yayas (grandmothers) and other community members.
