River’s End Restaurant

Located at the Nantahala Outdoor Center, this eatery is as close as you’ll get to the Nantahala River without getting wet. Nearly every seat has a view of the water, allowing diners to watch rafters float by after completing the most challenging rapid. Hikers and boaters make their way to this joint for a heaping plate of Sherpa Rice, a medley of stir-fried jasmine rice, lentils, and barley topped with cheddar cheese and a choice of chili, steamed vegetables, chicken, or sausage.
