Originally from Salisbury and briefly from Asheville, The Cabin Kids became singing stars in the 1930s. The young quintet harmonized its way into films starring Gene Autry, Bing Crosby, and W.C. Fields, and made multiple appearances on The Little Rascals.

Here they are singing “After You’re Gone” in the Gene Autry movie Git Along Little Doggies:
