Guadalupe Café

When Guadalupe Café brought a Caribbean influence to Sylva’s culinary scene, it also helped ignite a nightlife in downtown with music performances. This tapas and wine restaurant offers traditional Mexican favorites like fried plantains and tacos prepared with sofrito beans and Ashe County cheese in a blue-corn tortilla. But the café also switches things up with Asian dumplings of gingered pork; curried potatoes, veggies, and chutneys; and falafel served with handmade pita bread, garbanzo cakes, and mint chutney.
