On The Verge submission - Greg Vineyard

A life-long artist in various media, I opted for a career in design and art direction. My 20-plus year corporate career was aided by my loose, artistic style, and now, conversely, my reemergence as a visual artist has benefited from my business background. While I have not had my own show, I have enjoyed participating in group shows with members of the River Arts District, and throughout the 1990's, I took great delight in hosting "salons" featuring my latest ceramic concepts while also having an annual bowl sale. I did have five minutes of fame on HGTV's The Carol Duvall Show, as she liked the meditation bowl concept. I now confine my role to art and art-related activities, whether with ceramics, consulting or writing. Asheville is the best place I've ever lived as an artist. I am a member of the River Arts District association of artists, and currently serve as Membership co-chair and assist with various projects.
