I work with objects. I have no schooling in my art but I am at least the fourth generation of tinkerers in my family. My grandfather invented and patented several fiber optic uses. My great-grandfather invented and patented an industrial dryer. My dad is an engineer and loves to tinker with things that he finds around him. I am always fascinated watching my dad: his inventiveness, his being open to what is at hand. It opened my mind to creating with what was around me.
My dad was the greatest influence on my artistic form. My mom brought the arts and love of the arts into my live. Except for these influences, I am completely self-taught. It is natural for me to create things. The objects I see suggest a direction and it makes me create artistic pieces.
