A visual archivist, lydia see uses her photography as a conduit to both record and participate in the human condition. She has been photographing since she was a child, and it wasn't until developing her eye and logging extensive hours in the darkroom that she found her aesthetic vision. She seeks to find the beauty in the mundane and the common in the extraordinary. Her subject matter ranges from alternative portraiture, to dead things, to landscapes, and anything in between, and she is committed to a high level of quality in all of her compositions. She seeks to find light and the decisive moment in her images, and has a compulsive methodology to her shooting which proves lucrative in unexpected situations She finds most of her inspiration in serendipitous moments.
