On The Verge submission - KimRoss
Kim Campbell-Ross was born and raised in the tiny town of Snowflake, VA. At the age of 9, while playing with clay in her driveway, she made her first small pots. Moving to Waynesville, NC she met her husband, Harold, had two sons, whom she homeschools, and continued her love of pottery at Good Earth Studio in Waynesville.
After years of study and many bags of clay and glazes, Kim set up her own studio in her home, specializing in the wheel-thrown technique. The art of pottery has become a family affair with sons, Zeb and Levi, specializing in the hand-building technique. The use of vivid colors and the incorporation of melted glass have made their items very popular. The end result is a unique and one of a kind product. Their pieces are featured at galleries in North Carolina, as well as Virginia. Each pottery piece has a “touch of love” in it. I am now living out my childhood dream along with my sons. We hope you love the piece you choose as much as we love making it.
