Set in small-town Mississippi, this comedy tells the story of Carnelle Scott (aka Miss Hot Tamale), who pulls together a festive acrobatic act in hopes of winning the Fourth of July beauty pageant and salvage her tarnished reputation. But the unexpected arrival of eccentric family members, an awkward seamstress, and other odd characters leads to a dramatic display of hilarity.
