North Carolina Blackberry Festival

Celebrate one of summer’s juiciest berries with contests, a parade, the crowning of Little Miss Blackberry, and the world’s largest patchwork cobbler, a community project where nearly 200 people contribute 12-by-12-inch cobblers to create one giant dessert “quilt.” Enjoy music on the main stage, or check out Pickin’ in the Parking Lot on Ashe Avenue, where secret judges select a winner to close the festival.
