Nantahala Hometown Throwdown

Show off your kayaking skills on the Nantahala River and earn points for every trick executed in two rides. Advanced competitors can flip and spin on the new 2013 Wave, future site of the 2013 ICF Canoe Freestyle World Championships. Beginners can paddle the smaller Bridge Wave. This amateur throw down is one of four planned for the year, and gear prizes from Jackson Kayak, GoPro, and Chaco are won by raffle rather than river competition.
