A tribute to Mary Martin Sloop, founder of The Crossnore School for troubled children, this outdoor drama tells the story of the doctors who brought medical care, education, and economic development to Western North Carolina. Sloop spent her career providing care in under-served areas of the region. In 1911, she and her husband moved to Avery County to establish the school.
