Mel Chin: The Funk & Wag from A to Z & More

In “The Funk & Wag from A to Z”, originally curated by Ann Harithas for the Nave Museum in Victoria, TX, artist Mel Chin extracted images from all 25 volumes of the 1953 Funk & Wagnall’s Encyclopedia and re-edited them a collages, unleashing the potentiality of images trapped by historical context.  Chin’s inspiring piece is showcased alongside new configurations of more recent works by the artist in this exhibition. Exhibit from Tuesday-Saturday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m, and Sunday: 1:00 p.m.-5:00p.m.
