Kinship: Form and Surface; Ceramics by Lorna Meaden
Date:
September 1, 2012 - 10:00am - September 30, 2012 - 6:00pm
The work Lorna Meaden has produced for this exhibition is soda fired porcelain. According to Lorna, "It begins with the consideration of function, and the goal is for the form and surface of the pots to be interdependent. This exhibition contains new elements, which have gradually been incorporated through making. Source information for surface decoration can be motivated by something as simple as looking at the patterns in stacked bricks, and subtle evolution of form comes through the experience of creative repetition."
