Coon Dog Day Festival

To open this 49th annual festival, an event centered around coonhounds and coonhunting, lace up your running shoes and compete in a 5K loop through Saluda. A parade at 11 a.m. is followed by musical performances, including one by Johnny Cash tribute band Folsom Prison Gang. The Coon Club hosts hound shows and contests in the afternoon, and a square dance takes place in the street that evening.
