This fictionalized story of the life of Annie Oakley, star of Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show, pits the female sharpshooter against her womanizing rival, Frank Butler. But when her shooting skills prove better than his, it spells trouble for the star-crossed lovers. Noted as one of the longest running musicals of the 1940s, this Irving Berlin masterpiece gave rise to well-known tunes such as “There’s No Business Like Show Business.”
