Souped-up John Deeres and Toros will fly around the dirt track at the wild lawn mower races in Wilkes County, where NASCAR was born. At events sanctioned by the Alleghany Mower Racing Association, riding mowers will race at the North Wilkesboro Fairgrounds and other venues throughout the summer.
