55th Wagon Train
Date:
June 27, 2012 (All day) - July 4, 2012 (All day)
Families hitch up their horses and hit the dusty trail in an annual caravan through the mountains. Participants ride different trails around Andrews and the Valley River every day, then camp at the Wagon Train Campsite each night, and join the Fourth of July parade in Andrews on the final day. The original wagon train in 1958 called attention to the area’s need for decent roads, and today it promotes livestock welfare. » 1386 Stewart Rd.; Wednesday-Wednesday, all day; $15, $25 for family, $5 ID armband, $80-$160 for camping; (828) 321-2376;
